Global Mission
Global Mission is at the heart of the Seventh-day Adventist Church's efforts to share the love of Jesus with all people. More than 2,500 Global Mission pioneers work worldwide, establishing new congregations and touching lives through medical care, education, media, and outreach. Since 1990, these pioneers have established over 11,000 new Seventh-day Adventist congregations, bringing hope and healing to communities in more than 200 countries.
Mission Awareness
Mission Awareness seeks to educate and engage church members and the wider community about the importance of mission work. Through publications, videos, and other resources, it highlights the transformative impact of Adventist mission workers who preach the gospel, teach relevant living skills, provide medical care, and support development projects. This initiative aims to build support for mission efforts and inspire individuals to participate in sharing the good news of Jesus.

Mission Refocus began.

The Urban Centers of Influence initiative was introduced.
2012
The Center for Urban Mission was launched.
2011
The Center for Adventist-Muslim Relations was established. And the Office of Archives Statistics and Research was formed.
2008
The Center for Secular and Postmodern Studies was established.
2005
The Office of Mission Awareness was formed, later merging with Global Mission.
1997
The Center for Adventist-Buddhist Relations was established.
1996
The Center for South Asian Religions was established.
1995
The Center for Adventist-Muslim Relations was established. And the Office of Archives Statistics and Research was formed.
1991
The World Jewish-Adventist Friendship Center was established. Also, International Personnel Resources and Services (IPRS) was established, connecting Adventist professionals with global mission opportunities.
1990
The Global Mission initiative was launched to focus on reaching the world's most unreached areas.

The Institute of World Mission (IWM) was established
1950
Adventist Volunteer Service is formalized, enhancing global missionary efforts
1912
The first Thirteenth Sabbath Offering was taken, and the World Mission Offering was introduced to support global mission efforts.
1902
Adventist mission work commenced in China.
1895
Georgia Burrus was sent as a missionary to India.
1894
Adventist mission work expanded into Latin America and the Caribbean; the first missionaries were sent to South America, specifically Argentina.
1894
Adventist mission began in Africa with the establishment of Solusi Mission in Southern Africa.
1885
The first missionaries were sent to Australia, establishing the church's presence on the continent.
1874
J.N. Andrews was sent to Switzerland as the first official overseas Adventist missionary.
