At one of the meetings, the speaker, Pastor Don Fehlberg, asked whether anyone wanted to accept Jesus as their Savior. A gang member in the crowd said to his friends, “I don’t know what you’re going to do, but I’m going forward to accept Christ.”
By the time Dennis was 11, he was spending a lot of time on the streets. He tried alcohol and drugs. He even sold drugs. He thought his new street friends made him feel like he belonged.

Then something really bad happened that tested my faith. On December 17, 2024, an earthquake damaged our home. The small kitchen where my mum cooked food to earn money was destroyed.
A friend from church asked me, “Are you spending time with Jesus?” That simple question led to a long talk—until 10 o’clock at night! He invited me to some Bible meetings, and I went to every one of them.
Standing by the grave, I prayed, “God, I want to be a missionary, too.” I didn’t really know what a missionary was, but I wanted to help people know Jesus.
Miss Edwige gently told her that the statue was an idol, and the Bible says we should only worship Jesus. Mrs. Luvant hadn’t heard of Jesus. Everything Miss Edwige taught her from the Bible was new.
At the meetings, Mrs. Terebo began to understand the Bible better. She loved learning that God wasn’t far away—that He wanted to be close to here through worship every day and be her best friend.
Then something surprising happened. One day, the king’s son walked past Mrs. Valao’s house and saw something strange—a statue that used to be inside was now outside in the yard!
