Mission Rally: Planting Seeds of Hope

Adventist Mission hosts first Mission Rally in California to celebrate mission work around the world.

Adventist Mission invites you to take a closer look at mission work around the world at the Mission Rally near Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, October 28, 2017. This special mission program will inspire you with stories of how God uses His workers to change lives and plant hope in hopeless situations.

This was true for Alexandra and Oleg. They had given up on life. Alexandra was trapped in her bed due to partial paralysis and growing weaker and weaker. Her husband, Oleg, noticed that his legs were losing strength and discoloring. What point was there to keep living?

That’s when 64-year-old Ivan, a Global Mission pioneer in Moldova, taught Oleg about healthful living and brought a new mattress and wheelchair for Alexandra. Oleg’s health improved so much that he could walk easily again, and Alexandra found physical and spiritual freedom through Ivan’s caring attention. Because Ivan planted seeds of hope in their hearts, Oleg and Alexandra saw God’s love for them and accepted Jesus into their lives.

Learn more about Ivan’s ministry at the Mission Rally! He demonstrates the life-saving work that all Global Mission pioneers do. They live and work in communities where there is no Adventist presence and share the gospel through wholistic ministry, by providing medical care, teaching agricultural skills, offering literacy programs, and giving Bible studies. In the past five years, pioneers have planted seeds of hope in Christ in 104 countries, resulting in 5,281 church planting projects. All this was possible through your support!

Adventist Mission invites all who are dedicated to sharing the gospel with hard-to-reach people groups to continue supporting Global Mission pioneers and other life-changing mission projects. The Mission Rally will explore a unique, behind-the-scenes look at how mission work is planting seeds of hope in Christ around the world. Attendees will discover reasons the Seventh-day Adventist Church can celebrate mission work, the greatest barriers to mission success, and the biggest opportunities in moving mission forward. All are welcome to attend this free event.

Featured Adventist Mission speakers include Gary Krause, director; Rick Kajiura, communication director; and Ricky Oliveras, video producer. Music will be presented by Dawn of Hope Ministry, featuring vocalist Stephanie Dawn and pianist Dann Thornton. The Mission Rally will be held at Azure Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church near Loma Linda University from 3-5 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
