Eman was furious when Refaat first accepted the Advent message and quit his job to focus on sharing it with others.

Eman was furious when Refaat first accepted the Advent message and quit his job to focus on sharing it with others.

“I was completely unsupportive,” she explains. “I said, ‘How can you do this when we have two young children to support?’ ” Refaat calmly replied that they would have to trust God to provide.

“And He did provide,” Eman says with a smile. “It was like money came out of nowhere, just when we needed it most. I’d never felt more loved by God than during those two years, but I continued to fight Refaat on the Sabbath issue.”

One day, Eman told God she would honor the Sabbath if it was His will. She heard God reply audibly, saying that the Sabbath was from Him. Then the war in Eman’s heart was over, and she was flooded with peace.

Now, Refaat is a Global Mission pioneer, and he and Eman have started 10 new groups of believers together. Please remember these small groups and pray that Refaat and Eman’s community will be open to God’s love and leading.
