The heartbeat of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is mission—sharing Jesus’ love and the hope of His soon return with a world longing for truth and meaning. Every follower of Christ is called to go, to reach, and to nurture new disciples who will, in turn, share His message of grace.

At the center of this divine calling is church planting—establishing communities of faith where the light of the gospel has yet to shine. Each new congregation is a living testimony of God’s power to transform lives, restore hope, and bring people together in His love.

Global Mission carries this sacred legacy forward—empowering pioneers, pastors, and everyday believers to plant seeds of faith in some of the most challenging and unreached places on earth. Through their courage, perseverance, and God’s leading, light is breaking through the darkness, touching hearts one community at a time.

Why Church Planting Matters

Millions around the world still have no access to an Adventist congregation. Some have never even heard the name of Jesus. Global Mission pioneers—local believers who speak the language, understand the culture, and know the needs of their people—choose to live within these communities, building trust, forming friendships, and revealing Christ’s character through compassionate service.

Through prayer, meaningful relationships, and daily acts of kindness, pioneers create safe spaces where people can encounter the love of God for the very first time. As small groups of new believers gather, they grow into worshipping communities—new churches that become beacons of hope, healing, and spiritual transformation.

Reaching the Unreached

Across the world today, millions—perhaps even billions—of people have never heard the name of Jesus. Many live in sprawling cities, isolated villages, or within cultural and religious communities where the gospel has never been shared. They are not resisting Christ—they simply have no one to tell them about Him.

Many of these precious people live in places where the Adventist Church has no presence at all—no congregation, no worship group, no nearby believer to pray with them or share the hope of Christ’s soon return. Others live in enormous cities where the message of Jesus is drowned out by noise, poverty, busyness, or barriers of culture and belief.

And in many secular or post-Christian societies—where faith is often misunderstood, dismissed, or forgotten—the challenge is different but just as urgent. Here too, people are longing for meaning, hope, and authentic connection, even if they do not yet recognize their need for Christ.

Reaching the unreached means going where Christ is unknown, unwelcomed, or simply unnoticed. Global Mission exists to reach these people and to tell them about Jesus.
