Mission Spotlight

7-day Seventh-day Adventists

What if our churches were open seven days a week? What would that look like? How would it change how we do ministry?

On Sabbath morning, church doors open, people gather, and worship fills the sanctuary. And afterward…the doors close again.

For the rest of the week, many of these buildings sit empty.

But what if the church were open every day—a daily presence in the life of the community? Something accessible beyond a single morning.

We are the Seventh-day Adventist Church; we gather on the seventh day. But what would it look like if we had 7-day Seventh-day Adventist churches?

It wouldn’t change what we believe; but it would expand how we live it.

This kind of church would open its doors not only for worship, but to grow relationships throughout the week. It would be a place where needs are noticed and where trust develops.

In some places, that would look like creating an urban center of influence that offers a class or creates space for someone to walk in and not feel alone. The same building that fills on Sabbath could be a place where a new community begins to form.

In many ways, this reflects Christ’s method of ministry. He met people where they were, cared about their struggles, and built relationships before inviting them to stronger faith.

A 7-day Seventh-day Adventist church doesn’t have to be complicated. It can start from something simple: be available, create space, and offer care.

Over time, the church will become more than a building people visit; it will be a place people recognize, return to, and trust. And in that kind of environment, faith will be able to grow in a natural and lasting way.

Around the world, this kind of everyday presence is opening doors for mission in powerful ways.

Through your prayers and your support, you help create spaces for this kind of ministry to grow.

Thank you for being a part of mission.
