The 10/40 Window is almost a catchphrase in mission work. “Send more missionaries to the 10/40 Window!” “Give to 10/40 Window mission projects!” “Help us reach the 10/40 Window with the gospel!” Perhaps you’ve heard similar requests before. Maybe you barely “hear” them anymore because you’ve heard them so often.
Yet it’s for good reason. The 10/40 Window contains nearly 60% of the world’s population and most major world religions. About 3 billion people living there are unreached by the Word of God. Our 10/40 Window project remains crucial in spreading the gospel.
Some projects meet specific needs. For instance, the Myanmar project offers help with drug addiction, and “Waldensian Students” spread the gospel behind the scenes in closed countries.
Of course, there are needs outside the 10/40 Window too. Colombia is a predominantly Christian country, but only 1 in 193 are Adventist. Global Mission pioneers are needed to plant churches and spread hope to more people. Southern Africa is also mostly Christian, but pioneers there need the right tools to share the Advent hope.
“And the gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). Thank you for supporting mission work to all the world for Jesus’ soon return!
