Nanrup was discouraged. As a child, she experienced neglect, poverty, and few opportunities to learn. As she grew older, she cared for her mother, working long hours for little pay.

One day, Nanrup met Jerry, a Global Mission pioneer. She appreciated his kindness and interest in her spiritual life. But when he invited her to study the Bible with him, she hesitated. She felt embarrassed because she struggled to read. Sensing her discomfort, Jerry encouraged her to use an online Bible app.

In her studies with Jerry, Nanrup discovered many beautiful Bible truths. One especially caught her attention—the teaching that the seventh day of the week is the true Sabbath. If this is true, she wondered, why does our congregation worship on Sunday? When Nanrup’s pastor couldn’t provide her with a clear biblical explanation, she made the courageous decision to begin worshiping Jesus on Saturday.

That choice was costly; she lost her job and church family. Yet she was determined to begin a new chapter in her spiritual life. She even changed her name to Jennifer to symbolize a complete break from her former self.

Jennifer began selling local beverages, saved money, and eventually opened a successful restaurant. The shop is closed on Saturdays, providing opportunities for her to tell others about the Sabbath.

Despite facing mockery, Jennifer is a determined soul-winner. Through her faithful witness, two people already have been baptized.
