A landowner’s young daughter was healed after a Global Mission pioneer prayed with her and shared God’s Word. The miracle opened the family’s heart to Jesus, leading the father to accept Christ as his Savior.
In 2021, the Lord sent me to a region in South Asia where the local people cultivate the surrounding plains and hills.
One day, I met the man who owned much of this land. We talked, and that one conversation soon turned into a friendship. He invited me to his home, where I met his wife and seven-year-old daughter, and in turn, I invited him to mine.
During one conversation, I noticed that my new friend seemed troubled. He told me that his little girl was very ill. Worried about her health, he had taken her to the village doctor and then to a magician, who told him to sacrifice a hen. Although he did everything they instructed, nothing he tried worked. Finally, he came to me and shared his fear and pain, wondering whether I could help. I agreed to do what I could and went to his house with my companions.
When we arrived, we found his daughter lying in her bed, weak and listless. Gathering around her, we read the Bible aloud and prayed for God to heal her. During the next few days, we visited several more times, hoping she would get better.
One day after our visit, I asked the landowner to let us know whether his daughter’s condition improved. He called soon after our departure and told us his little girl was feeling better. She was even hungry and eating. By God’s grace, she had been healed.
The miracle of his daughter’s healing opened my friend’s heart to learning more about Jesus. As we studied the Bible together, he chose to accept Him as his personal Savior.
