Picture Story

Brazil

During Sheri’s classes with her instructor, Makoto, she found moments to speak about Jesus. Their conversations deepened with each class. They discussed the hope of salvation, death, the Second Coming, and more.

When Sheri walked into a fitness studio, she wasn’t just thinking about exercise—she was thinking about the gospel.

As a Global Mission pioneer, Sheri prayed to find a place where she could improve her health while also sharing Jesus with someone open to listening. One day, a friend handed her a flyer for a local fitness studio. She quickly signed up for one-on-one fitness classes.

During Sheri’s classes with her instructor, Makoto, she found moments to speak about Jesus. Their conversations deepened with each class. They discussed the hope of salvation, death, the Second Coming, and more. Eventually, Makoto’s curiosity grew into conviction.

Makoto has come to believe in God and is now studying the Bible. But the story doesn’t end there—he also shares God and the Bible with his students whenever the opportunity arises. Additionally, Makoto supports Sheri’s ministry at the Osaka church plant by using his graphic design skills to create posters.

Global Mission pioneers such as Sheri find creative ways to share the gospel around the world. Thank you for supporting them through your financial gifts!

In a closed Middle Eastern country, a missionary couple prayed for a home church and soon met Salman, a taxi driver who had become a Christian online but had never met another believer.
