Then, after driving a while, we noticed smoke emanating from the fuel pump area of the vehicle. We immediately pulled over and everyone got out to investigate. Within moments, flames erupted from the backseat area, and we quickly realized the fire was uncontrollable.
On June 2, 2025, my family and I were involved in an unfortunate incident while traveling across Zimbabwe to fulfill my responsibilities as a Global Mission pioneer for the North Zimbabwe Conference. My vehicle caught on fire, resulting in the total loss of the car and its contents.
The journey began as planned. I had prepared spiritually and logistically for my assignment, carrying mission materials and personal belongings in the vehicle. I was filled with a sense of purpose and anticipation for the mission ahead.
Then, after driving a while, we noticed smoke emanating from the fuel pump area of the vehicle. We immediately pulled over and everyone got out to investigate. Within moments, flames erupted from the backseat area, and we quickly realized the fire was uncontrollable. Thankfully, there were no injuries, and no other vehicles or individuals were involved.
The loss of the vehicle and belongings was a difficult moment. However, I am deeply thankful to God for preserving our lives. This incident, though challenging, has strengthened my resolve and reminded me of the unpredictability of trials when serving in ministry. I see this experience not as a deterrent but as a testimony of faith and divine protection.
Global Mission pioneer Blessed Mapurazi thanks you for your support of his ministry—not only through your financial gifts but also through your prayers for his protection. It means a great deal to pioneers to know they have a worldwide team praying for them as they do God’s work.
