Do you like puppet shows? Do you know puppets can preach? I know a lot of children out there love puppet shows. There's something captivating about the way puppets can talk, sing, and bring stories to life. They capture the imagination and hearts of kids everywhere, drawing them into a world of creativity and fun.
Ava and Noah are siblings who have a special love for children's stories, especially those told with puppets. One of their favorite shows is The Rescue. This program is more than just a puppet show. It's a window into the incredible story about God.
“It's a series that goes right through from the fall of Lucifer right through to the New Earth. So it covers the whole time of Jesus coming to rescue us. And it also shows so many times during history where God has had to intervene to keep His rescue plan on track. So we look at a lot of Bible stories. We look at a lot of concepts that children need to know and learn and relate them to the Bible stories as well. But it's the greatest rescue of all time, and it really shows the battle between good and evil that's there for us to make the choice every day to follow Jesus.”

“So we've been using puppets for many years. Because puppets really help to connect and engage kids and families. If you walk past a puppet and it says something to you, you're more likely to listen than a person.”
The Bible is the foundation of The Rescue. When Kimberly was seven, her grandmother gave her a Bible, and it contained a verse that inspired her to start this ministry. It is from John 21:15.
“Feed my lambs is what Jesus instructed Peter to do. And that is really significant because the lambs are the kids. The first commission our church has been given is to look after the kids. Then he says, feed my sheep. So it's so important that we look after the kids, that we care for the kids, and we teach them the most important thing that Jesus loves them. Jesus wants to be their best friend and Jesus wants to rescue them.”

“I watch The Rescue because it inspires me to go and help other people learn about the Bible. And it helps me understand hard questions about the Bible.”
“My favorite episode is The Beginning. Well, the creation, because, it's talking about when God created the earth, and it's teaching us that there wasn't just the Big Bang .”
“So my kids love it and they prompt some questions for them. They often come and then ask some questions, but also they share some things and go, hey, this is what we learned. And it's like, whoa, I don't realize you knew that about the Bible. But now they do.”
